My Background
I have served as a spiritual director, hospital and hospice chaplain, and mindfulness coach across diverse groups of individuals, families, and communities. This work has deepened my commitment to compassionate presence, cultural humility, and care that respects each person’s agency, diversity, and spiritual language and expression.
Before entering chaplaincy and spiritual direction, I worked for many years in medicine and public health. My work and travel in the United States and internationally included providing medical services to underserved and marginalized people and communities. That experience continues to shape an approach grounded in dignity, justice, and the inseparability of body, mind, relationship, and spirit.
